Champions and how i suck...........

Did i mention this? Well, last night my bro Stephen and my bro-in-law Paul arrived and we settled down in front of the tv for the Champions League Final. It was epic stuff with lots of shouting at the screen and as the game went on we got more and more tense. I was the only real United fan so i may have been a bit more animated than the other guys...........



Look what it means to these guys! The passion displayed from both teams was great, the determination to win was evident from the first minute. I am not sure if i understand this kind of passion & desire, which i have to say, is slightly shameful. I guess we should have that level of passion for Jesus, for other Christians? Do we?



anyway, my team won, i suck at being a Christian and did i say that the match was epic? I, on the other hand am not epic!

I have been quiet about this on the blog because i do not want to scud my team but this is what im doing tonight. The brother in law and stevo will come round and we shall surely shout at the t.v.

Gay Footballers...............

This is a topic that "comes out" every once in a while, often in the most ridiculous fashion, this instance is no exception!
Luciano Moggi, former managing director of a top Italian football team delivered his rant on Italian t.v., saying this;

"There are no gays in football. I don't know if players are against having them in their team but I definitely am. In the teams where I worked there were never any. I never wanted to have a homosexual player and I still wouldn't sign one. I'm old school but I know the ambience of football and a gay wouldn't be able to survive within it. A homosexual cannot do the job of a footballer. The football world is not designed for them, it's a special atmosphere, one in which you stand naked under the showers."

Does he realize that by saying the "special atmosphere" of standing "naked under the showers" is such a gay statement? He is old school though! I have to say it is really weird to me that there are no "openly" gay footballers that we know of in professional football. Why is this? Anyway, i am going to settle down to watch the Champions League semi final & wonder who is gay!
